ABOUT THE JOB

We are currently seeking a Class Mentor for Norrängsskolan.

Norrängsskolan is a school for grades F-6 with approximately 300 students. For some time, we have been working on a project to improve the staff's working environment. This has led to us permanently implementing the Class Mentor solution. We believe in the importance of collaboration and ensuring that everyone feels involved.

The duties of a Class Mentor include:

• Accompanying the group as a source of security during the school day. Being active during lessons and creating a conducive study atmosphere.
• Being present in the classroom during lesson times as a resource for the students.
• Maintaining contact with parents/guardians.
• Being responsible for certain documentation regarding norms and values.
• Supervising breaks.
• Time spent in the after-school care activities.
• Collegial learning and training together with other mentors and teaching staff.
• Striving for a good relationship with students and parents/guardians based on mutual respect.

YOUR PROFILE

We believe in the right competence in the right place.

We are looking for someone with a completed upper secondary education. It is an advantage if you have post-secondary education that the employer deems suitable for the assignment. We would also like you to have some form of leadership training or experience of leadership, e.g., within the association movement.

As a person, you have an interest/motivation to work with children and young people, and you are active in your assignment. In the role of a Class Mentor, it is important that you have the ability to work well with other people. Your strength lies in creating and maintaining good relationships with students, teachers, and parents/guardians. You will be part of an engaged and flexible team that puts the student at the center.
